George Macleod Books

I first came into contact with Homeopathic Vet, George Macleod in the 1980s. He would ring on a quiet Friday afternoon and he would ask if I had a preparation or could make up a lotion to his special requirement.
George had an international following at a time when homeopathy for animals was not widely known.
The books below are a small selection, which I am sure you will enjoy reading.

Cats: Homeopathic remedies

I would encourage all cat owners interested in Homeopathy to consider buying this book…. it is a very comprehensive book on homeopathy for cats.

Dogs: Homeopathic remedies

This book contains the management of all the common canine diseases in separate sections. These are arranged in a common pattern, a description of the condition, clinical indications and a list of the principal remedies and the symptoms covered.

The Treatment of Horses by Homeopathy

George’s experience as a veterinary surgeon proves that homeopathy is a most effective and inexpensive way of dealing with the troubles to which horses are prone, and gives precise instructions for the treatment of a great number of ailments, many of which are unresponsive to normal methods.

A Veterinary Materia Medica and Clinical Repertory

This book is an invaluable work of reference. George has provided a first specialist veterinary material medica, a real and historic landmark. He also provides the first good list of nosodes for veterinary application – a formidable task.
